Privacy & your favorites
Free visitor experience
Travel Tribe offers destination discovery, curated travel photo stories, travel trivia, an interactive map, and public group-trip information. It has no member login or paid subscription offerings.
Saved on this browser
Saved on this browser only. Nothing is sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your favorites, your USA travel passport (been there and wish list) and your travel desk draft are kept in this browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us or saved to an account, and they do not sync across devices. Clearing your browser data removes them. If browser storage is unavailable, the site tells you it could not save.
Your travel desk
The free travel desk saves your itinerary draft, estimates, notes and checklist on this browser so they are still there when you come back (see “Saved on this browser” above). Download your travel notes to keep a copy. Calendar downloads contain all-day reminders, not live subscriptions. Cost totals use the amounts you enter, not live quotes or currency conversion.
Trip join requests
If you use the “Request to join” form, we receive the name, email address, trip and message you enter. The form is processed by our hosting provider, Netlify (Netlify Forms), stored in the site’s Netlify account and sent by email to the site owner at ideahousepublishing@gmail.com. We use it only to reply to you and coordinate the trip. We do not sell it or add you to a mailing list. Email us to have a request corrected or deleted.
Maps, photos, and external links
Fourteen map pins offer curated food and attraction suggestions. Selecting another point lets you open food and attraction searches in Google Maps. No device location permission is requested. Clicking an external link sends your chosen search or destination to that service, whose own terms and privacy policy apply. Remote photos, fonts (Google Fonts) and the Spotify podcast player may load from their providers.
Trivia and passport
Trivia answers and scores are temporary, for the current round. Your USA travel passport (been there and wish list) is saved on this browser only. There is no public leaderboard or account record.
Group trips and contact
Public group-trip pages show destination information and external booking links. Private lodging addresses, personal travel plans, and traveler records are not made public. Email links open your email app; you choose whether to send your inquiry. The website does not process bookings or collect payment card information.
Earlier member preview
An earlier member preview of Travel Tribe ran on a different platform. Its database was checked and held no member records, no member data was carried over to this site, and the old preview is no longer public.
Advertising and hosting
Sponsor placements may appear; an advertising network is not currently connected. The site is hosted by Netlify, which may process routine request information (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and protect the website.
